For over four decades, Prof. Dr. Regunath Parakkal has worked to make emotional support accessible to ordinary families in Kerala. His work has taken him into schools, the Kerala Police Women Cell and Kerala State Legal Services Authority Adalaths. What began as community service has grown into Palakkad Counselling.

Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is kept confidential, except where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is required by law.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching helps you gain clarity, build skills and move forward. It is not medical or psychiatric treatment. We do not diagnose or prescribe medication, and we refer you to qualified doctors if you need medical care.
Do I need to visit the centre?
No. If you are near Palakkad, you are welcome to visit in person. If you are outside Palakkad or outside India, you can meet us online by video or phone.
Do I need my partner to come with me?
No. You can begin on your own. Your partner can join later if and when they are ready.
